In 2023, we introduced the Digital Skills Education Program in Lebanon.
This initiative is designed to equip young, underprivileged women with the tools and knowledge needed to access secure, remote, and well-paying job opportunities. By focusing on cutting-edge digital skills, this program empowers participants to shape a brighter, more sustainable future for themselves and their communities.
In December 2023, 108 Lebanese and Syrian girls graduated from MOTG’s Digital Skills Education Program with an impressive 80% graduation rate. Students participated in courses on Coding, Web Development, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)—each consisting of 50 hours of training.
The program’s impact went beyond the classroom: 20 students earned scholarships from Beirut AI and the Zaka Foundation to further their education. With a strong focus on practical learning, students left the program equipped to enter the job market.
As Maria Casini, our Head of Operations, noted:
“Education is the foundation for a brighter future.”

Building on the success of 2023, we expanded our Digital Skills Education Program. In 2024, we aimed to amplify our impact with several strategic enhancements, including:
This approach allowed us to reach a more diverse group of students, ranging from youth aged 14–17 to housewives aged 21+, providing them with tools to thrive in our increasingly tech-driven world.
In the first trimester, we focused on equipping Lebanese youth with essential digital skills for today’s tech-driven world. The program offered courses in Web Development, Robotics, and AI and provided a supportive environment for students who lacked access to laptops or internet at home.
Results:
These results highlight the growing impact of the program, demonstrating how accessible education can unlock potential and create future job opportunities for underserved youth.
The second trimester shifted its focus to supporting individuals aged 21+ through courses specifically designed to enhance employability and entrepreneurial skills. Held twice a week at our partner university in Aley, the program primarily targets unemployed women (80%) and men (20%), equipping them with the tools to improve their job prospects, achieve financial independence, and access opportunities to work safely from home.
This trimester offered three key courses: Basic Computer Skills, Digital Marketing, and Graphic Design. With 73 students enrolled as of September 2024—and more participants still joining—the program is set to run until March 2025, continuing to provide essential skills to participants and opening new doors.
