Emergency Aid and Long-Term Recovery Efforts

As the conflict continues to escalate in the Middle East, we are partnering with our dedicated on-the-ground teams to provide both emergency aid and long-term recovery to displaced people in Lebanon and Gaza. Families affected by the crisis face immense challenges, as homes, schools, and vital infrastructure have been destroyed. Together, we can help them rebuild their lives and restore hope.
Central to this mission is our Education in Emergency Program, which offers vital digital literacy lessons to 70 students aged 8 to 20. Through personalized coaching in small groups of up to 20 students, we ensure each individual receives the attention and support needed to learn, grow, and thrive. For our more advanced students, we provide training in web development, opening pathways to meaningful, long-term job opportunities and fostering hope for a brighter future.

Restoring Hope Through Education

Many of these students have endured unimaginable loss, including their homes, villages, and the comfort of their loved ones. Yet in our classrooms, they rediscover what it means to be students—curious, determined, and hopeful. The familiarity of lessons, guided by compassionate teachers, offers a precious sense of normalcy amidst the chaos, reminding them of life before the conflict and providing a ray of hope during difficult times.

Our program works in parallel with our ongoing emergency aid efforts, equipping displaced communities with essential digital skills. By delivering both immediate relief and long-term opportunities, we aim to uplift young people to rebuild their lives and create a more stable, hopeful future.

Meet our People

Meet Soha, Our Livelyhood Academy Educator on the Frontline in Lebanon.

Soha has spent the last year supporting young vulnerable Syrian and Lebanese youth through MOTG’s Livelihood Academy in Aley, Lebanon. Her classroom was a place of learning, teaching eager students digital skills. But when the conflict escalated, the university hosting their courses became a shelter for hundreds of displaced families – this changed everything.

In response, Soha and our team had to adapt. The Livelihood Academy transformed into a Digital Education in Emergency School, for tech skills at all levels, helping to restore a sense of normalcy, safety, and hope to displaced children and teens. For these students, being back in a classroom isn’t just about learning—it’s finding stability in a currently complex situation, normalcy in the chaos and aiming towards a brighter future.

Any glimmer of normality or a glimpse of a peaceful future is like a ray of sunshine on a rainy day.

A heartwarming testimony from one of our students:

‘’When the brutal war hit the South of Lebanon, everything was painted by grey ashes and dull debris. The happiness of most of us was marked by the same color. However, MOTG promised me and my fellow students to cast bright sun rays of hope on our faces with academic education and great memories.

During days of hardship where I’ve lost some of my dearest friends to these harsh wars, MOTG gave me the opportunity to rise up with renewed hope for my future, as the crucial tech education I am receiving is inspiring me to get out of my mattress and go learn something new in room 307.

All my sadness and sorrow over the martyrdom of my friends is thankfully being overrun by a very smiley staff of instructors including Mrs Soha and Mrs Rim. Everyone is incredibly welcoming here and they all serve a reminder that there is still hope for humanity.’’
