Movement on the Ground

We are an entrepreneurial NGO that was founded in 2015 on Lesvos in Greece. At the core of all our missions stands our Camp to CampUs approach. Following that approach, we build a community, together with (camp) residents. Not for them, but with them. Camp to CampUs coordinator

As a coordinator you are responsible for the implementation of our Camp to CampUs methodology. You are going to create a team of community volunteers with whom you are going to transform the locations into an empowering environment. This process is ongoing, because a society is never finished. Our main programmes are: our kitchen, gardening, cleaning, clothing and our personal development program.

Main competencies and requirements

• Connect with the residents of the location;
• Built a strong network of community volunteers; 
• Set up projects
• Monitor these projects
• Schedules, communication and coaching community volunteers; 
• Arranging and providing materials
• Budget owner

You are:

• Feeling excited about our philosophy and mission;
• Highly motivated to work closely together with all actors involved;
• A people minded hard worker;
• A hands-on person and you take initiatives;
• You have basic computer skills;
• You speak preferably two of the following languages: Dutch, English, Arabic or Tigrinya; 
• A highly flexible person with the willingness to work from different locations in the Netherlands;
• Preferably holding a valid driving license.
