Fundraising & Partnerships Manager

We are ready for:

A Fundraising & Partnerships Manager

Do you have a proven track record of leading successful fundraising campaigns and cultivating valuable relationships? Do you know how to use your network and inspire strategic corporate organizations, funds or partners? Are you a strategic thinker excited about drawing up plans to ensure our annual fundraising targets are met? Do you have excellent leadership skills and do you lead by example?

Let’s take MOTG’s fundraising strategy to the next level.

    Our Vision

A better world starts with building better communities.

    About us

We are an entrepreneurial NGO that was founded in 2015 on Lesvos in Greece. At the core of all our missions stands our Camp to CampUs approach. Following that approach, we build a community, together with (camp) residents. Not for them, but with them. With this approach, we stimulate the social participation of newcomers and sustainably facilitate social & local integration within a community.

    More about your team

Within this role, you will be part of the Amsterdam Office. The fundraising community contains next to you two enthusiast fundraising colleagues. Together you will work towards our fundraising goals. But you will also work closely together with our Management Team and colleagues from Marketing, Finance and all our ground missions.

As a team, we strongly believe in the value of working independently, with lots of freedom to take initiative, a can-do mentality and an entrepreneurial culture. We work smart, straight from the heart. Hands-on, ground-up. Nothing is impossible for us: that is how we think, work and act.

    Your challenge

As an NGO we rely on incoming funds, donations, support and subsidies. Together with your other fundraising colleagues, you will ensure that Movement achieves its fundraising targets to continue our ground missions and grow as an organization. The fundraising & partnership manager will play an integral key role in the organization and is responsible for:

    • Vision. You have a strong vision of how to bring our fundraising and partnership programs to the next level, in line with our overall mission and goals.
    • Strategy. Stay abreast of trends and new opportunities in the funding and marketing landscape. Develop, manage, monitor and adapt our fundraising strategy, with various funding groups and journeys in mind.
    • Impact. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our fundraising and partnership activities, ensuring the desired impact is met. You prepare quarterly budgets.
    • Networking and partnership development. You build and nurture relationships with strategic funds, donors, governments, NGOs, organizations or other network partners to increase the funding, and awareness and generate maximum support. You are a sharp public speaker and you are able to deliver presentations to a broad range of audiences.
    • Proposals. Independently write marketing-driven grant or program proposals, project plans, applications and reports.
    • Activation. Develop, activate and manage smart fundraising concepts, campaigns, events or partner programs. Including setting up an inspiring event and campaigning calendar, attracting potential funders and connecting partners sustainably.
    • Teaming up and Coaching. You team up with the other members of the Amsterdam office to ensure that the fundraising and partnership efforts are aligned with the overall strategy. You will coach and support the work and career of the other fundraising professionals.
    • Targets. You will set and achieve income targets together with your team and our marketing colleagues.

We are looking for a hands-on Fundraising & Partnership Manager. Meaning that you will be working on strategies, but writing key funding proposals, partner programs and reports as well.
