A community volunteer story: Clovis

Stories

Meet Clovis. An engineer from Cameroon who has been supporting our waste management program on Samos since May.

"This is the world we live in. A world where we need each other. A world where we are bound to depend upon each other and share the many destinies and paths ahead. This said, a clean and healthy world is one of the most important aspects of a human's wellbeing," Clovis shares.

“It reminds me of a famous proverb: "teach a child how to fish, not how to eat a fish". In fact it isn't just a physical thing to do. It is an ultimate experience. A feeling that overwhelms us and flows between us all.”

With such respect for his fellow human and the earth we live on, Clovis stands as an incredible role model and force in our community volunteer team. Needed more than ever during this challenging period of #covid19.
