World Humanitarian Day 2021: #OnlyTogether we can

Stories
"In light of World Humanitarian Day, we continue to envision a global Movement of individuals, institutions, organisations and governing bodies safeguarding the human in the humanitarian sector."

We believe that every human being forced from their home has the right to live in dignity with their host community throughout their journey towards safety.

This is why Movement On The Ground exists. To help build bridges between people and communities. Between those forced from their homes and those seeking to provide support. This is why we developed the ‘Camp to CampUs’ philosophy. A human-centred, holistic and inclusive approach to transform refugee places of transit from within. Towards safe, healing and enabling environments.

We do it together with and for refugee and host communities, enabling them with  resources to empower themselves. We recognise their skills and talents. We amplify their voices, offering them a platform to speak their truth. We do all we can to contribute to changing the public perception of what it is like to be a refugee.

In light of World Humanitarian Day, we continue to envision a global Movement of individuals, institutions, organisations and governing bodies safeguarding the human in the humanitarian sector. Ensuring that all humans forced from their homes live in dignity with their host community, and most importantly, find and live in a place they can call home. Today, we salute fellow humanitarian organisations and aid workers who continue to support vulnerable and marginalised people and communities. #OnlyTogether we can!
