DWDD: Johnny De Mol about the dire situation for refugees and locals on the Greek islands

In the media

The tensions in Greece are peaking as refugees accumulate on the border after Turkish President Erdogan announced last weeked to allow boats to leave the Turkish coast. Meanwhile, the refugee camps on the Greek islands are bursting at the seams and the Greek population feels abandoned by the rest of Europe.

Interested to get a better understanding of what exactly is happening on the Greek islands, Dutch talkshow De Wereld Draait Door hosted by Matthijs van Nieuwkerk, interviewed two of our founders, Adil Izemrane and Johnny de Mol, about the explosive situation on the Greek islands and what they think should happen next.

There is no denying that we are working in a severe crisis, however we said from day one that we are not only there for the refugees, but also for the islanders and it is for this reason that we will continue our mission on Lesvos.

In order to continue our mission, we continue to need your support and solidarity. Visit our 'How Can I Help?' page for more information about how you can contribute to our mission.
