Over a year and a half ago, Silke joined Movement On The Ground's mission in Moria camp as a volunteer. Today, she works with us as a NFI coordinator in RIC Lesvos, involved in the distribution of non-food items to the community on a tri-weekly basis, in addition to winterisation and summerisation assistance.
In light of the current refugee situation on the Greek islands, Silke met with Misha Margarittha of Linda.nl with whom she shared her insight about the current living conditions in RIC Lesvos, the extreme heatwave and what she is doing to create positive impact for people on the move.
