This year and for the second year in a row, Visa donates its Player of the Match prize to the UEFA Foundation for Children. The Player of the Match Award which has been presented by Visa since 2019, celebrates individual excellence in women’s football, as part of Visa's support for the UEFA Women's Champions League and women's football in general.
Together with our partners Barça Foundation, our team represented by Adil Izemrane - Co-founder - and sports coaches, Anna, Mohammad and Konstantina, attended the ceremony that took place in Presidential Box of Camp Nou in Barcelona.
In honour of the award, a donation of €50,000 was offered by Visa to a charity chosen by the winner, Aitana Bonmatí who decided to support Movement On The Ground's mission and sports programs on Lesvos.

We’re honoured and humbled by this initiative that will help us ensure more safe spaces on the Greek island contributing to more inclusion, social interaction, physical and emotional well-being of the community’s children.
