Meet Lonneke Noteboom: Our Head of Mission

In light of the current situation in refugee camps on the Greek islands, Richard Sleegers of Rosa met with Lonneke Noteboom, Movement On The Ground’s Head of Mission. 

Rosa is the news bulletin of the Academy of People and Society of HAN University of Applied Sciences. The name Rosa refers to strong women. Women who, despite fierce opposition, did not hesitate to take the floor and stand for a more dignified and inclusive society.

In this interview we learn about Lonneke and what moves her. We also learn more about Movement On The Ground’s Camp to CampUs philosophy and how as a training institute, HAN can lend a hand in support of The Movement Academy on the Greek islands, which offers educational activities, skills development initiatives and vocational training programmes to help build skills that people need for the future, increasing the prospects for employment further along their journey.
