Earlier this week, our special needs program paid a visit to a local Lesvos farm, offering the children in the program an opportunity to interact with farm animals and some members of the local Greek community.
The trip was organised by one of the special needs program coordinators Anne Mouka together with farm owner Giorgos Kariofillis.
The story was covered by local paper Politika Lesvos. You can read the full article (in Greek) here.
The article details how the trip was a therapeutic opportunity for the children in the program. As Giorgos explains; “we managed to make some kids happy… because kids always have to laugh… because kids are not to blame for anything.”
