The countdown to Christmas is officially on!
Temperatures are dropping closer to freezing point, festive tunes now blast over the radio and our heating systems are permanently set to 20 degrees.
But as WE start to begin our Christmas preparations and gear up for the winter ahead, there are approximately 40,000 people living in and around camps on the Greek Islands who are forced to face the next months without a warm shelter and the luxuries we often take for granted.
It’s for this reason that we are officially bringing back our #TimeForTents initative! Earlier this year, we asked you to donate money to help buy new, locally produced tents for the residents of our campUses on Lesvos and Samos, and this winter, we need you to do that same.
By donating as little as 20 euros, you could help be responsible for providing a family with a shelter, tarp or palette that will help to keep them warm and dry this winter. If that’s not sharing the Christmas spirit, than we don’t know what is!
